About This Location

[Description] Jamsu Bridge, located in central Seoul, is a unique lower-level bridge situated directly beneath the Banpo Bridge. It is celebrated for its distinctive "submersible" design, built intentionally low so that it can be submerged during heavy summer rains. This bridge is a premier landmark for urban leisure, featuring wide pedestrian and bicycle paths that bring visitors remarkably close to the Han River's water level. The bridge is world-famous for its proximity to the Moonlight Rainbow Fountain on the Banpo Bridge, which creates a mesmerizing water show accompanied by music and colorful lights. As a car-free zone on Sundays and a venue for the "Submersible Bridge Festival," it serves as a vibrant cultural plaza hosting flea markets, food trucks, and outdoor performances. It offers a spectacular panoramic view of the N Seoul Tower and the city skyline, making it one of the most romantic and photogenic spots along the Han River. [How to Get There] The bridge is highly accessible via the Seoul Metro. The most convenient way is to take Line 3, 7, or 9 to Express Bus Terminal Station (Exit 8-1); from there, it is a 15-minute walk toward the Banpo Hangang Park. Alternatively, you can take Line 9 to Sinbanpo Station (Exit 1) and walk for about 10-15 minutes. For those who prefer the bus, take the Blue Bus No. 405 or 740, which stops directly at the "Banpo Hangang Park, Jamsu Bridge" station right at the entrance of the bridge.
