About This Location

[Description] Yeouido Park is a vast, 230,000-square-meter urban oasis located in the heart of Seoul’s primary financial and political district. Originally a massive asphalt plaza used for military parades and rallies, it was transformed in 1999 into a lush, eco-friendly forest park. The park is divided into four distinct themed zones: the Traditional Korean Forest, Grass Square, Cultural Plaza, and Natural Ecosystem Forest. The park is celebrated for its seasonal beauty, especially during the spring cherry blossom season and the vibrant autumn foliage. Its wide, flat paths are perfect for cycling, rollerblading, and leisurely strolls, while the serene traditional pavilions and lotus ponds offer a peaceful retreat from the surrounding skyscrapers. As a central landmark of Yeouido, it serves as a dynamic cultural hub hosting festivals and performances, providing a perfect balance between Seoul’s high-paced urban life and tranquil nature. [How to Get There] The park is exceptionally easy to reach for international travelers via the Seoul Metro. The most convenient way is to take Line 5 or Line 9 to Yeouido Station (Exit 3); from there, it is a pleasant 5-minute walk toward the National Assembly building. Alternatively, you can take Line 5 to Yeouinaru Station (Exit 1) and walk for about 10 minutes. Numerous city buses stop at the "Yeouido Park" or "IFC Mall, Seoul" stations, which are located right along the park’s perimeter.
