About This Location

[Description] Nodeul Island is a cultural oasis floating in the center of the Hangangdaegyo Bridge. Originally a sandy beach where citizens enjoyed skating and fishing in the mid-20th century, it was reopened in 2019 as a "music-themed cultural complex." The island features the Nodeul Live House for high-quality performances, a specialized Nodeul Bookstore, and various green spaces like the "Nodeul Yard" for outdoor picnics. The island is renowned for offering one of the most breathtaking sunset views in Seoul, with the skyline of Yeouido and the 63 Building serving as a golden backdrop. Its eco-friendly design preserves the island's natural forest while providing modern facilities for art exhibitions and festivals. It stands as a serene landmark where visitors can escape the city's noise and reconnect with nature and creativity amidst the flowing Han River. [How to Get There] The island is highly accessible via public transportation, as several bus routes pass directly over it. The most convenient way is to take Subway Line 9 to Nodeul Station (Exit 2) and walk about 10-15 minutes across the Hangangdaegyo Bridge, which offers a scenic view of the river. Alternatively, you can take Line 1 to Yongsan Station (Exit 1) or Line 4 to Sinyongsan Station (Exit 3) and transfer to a bus (e.g., Blue Bus 150, 151, 152, 500) that stops at the "Nodeulseom" bus station located right in the middle of the bridge.
